lyrics

They say it's just the wind
But I swear I heard a voice
From somewhere near the weeping pines
I had to fill this place with life

They looked at me and shook their heads
So I sat lonely by my window
And then one morning before dawn
Her voice began to sing

It dragged me up I couldn't stop
And pushed me right into the woods
Through copse and mud it felt like flying
The trees were bowing to my lament

And when I reached a muddy slough
There sat a creature in the wild
She had a crack all trough her head
And Sang of beauty and despair

I push you up
I pull you down
When the siren sings our song
Bound in endless misery

He took my heart
She took my brain
Now where both kind of insane
Exposed to bittersweet decay

They called me names and cracked my head
And threw my corpse into the wild
And when I woke up there was silence
Between the weeping pines

I had to fill this place with live
So I started singing with the wind
The trees where bowing to my lament
A little itch upon my head

It pinned me down I couldn't move
Between the trees a man appeared
With mad wide open eyes
And a face blurred by pain and craze

But something got a hold of me
Maybe it was just a little feeling
My arms they opened up
So did his and we caressed

And out of the darkness people came
Like a shrieking banshee gang
They put their guns towards our heads

A little itch upon my face
As an axe split up my head
But still our bodies where entwined

They say it's just some trees
But those two pines by the little lake
To me they seem so very strange
I wonder why they coalesced
